Museum of the Bible invites all people to engage with the Bible through museum exhibits and scholarly pursuits.
Visitors enter thru 40-foot tall, 2.5-ton bronze doors with stained glass art containing a relief depicting the creation account in Genesis and into a grand lobby with a dramatic 200-foot LED ceiling and begin their journey with a Digital Guide, interacting with intuitive touch tables. The galleries bring stories, culture and history to life through a wide variety of experiential moments, including immersive walk-throughs, a “flying theater”, scenic recreations of historic villages, and a performance hall that wraps its visitors in projection.
Together, these carefully curated techniques have been combined into a first-of-its-kind museum experience: didactic, historic narrative and artifacts to explore, contemporary story-telling and high-end technology to inspire the senses, and abundant spaces that encourage quiet contemplation, conversations and continuing dialogue about what guests bring to the museum and what they experience within its walls.
