“Michael Jackson One” at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas takes audiences on an immersive journey through Michael Jackson’s musical legacy. “One” is a heartfelt tribute to the “King of Pop” intended to attract lifelong fans, and create new ones simultaneously.
Technomedia was challenged with creating a hologram for the show by using rare footage of Mr. Jackson dancing to create the illusion of him performing with the Cirque troupe. The result – absolutely magical. The hologram received rave reviews from even the most difficult of critics to please! Mr. Jackson’s mother herself said, “It is truly modern projection technology at its best.”
Technomedia’s engineers worked closely with the Cirque team and were tasked with the engineering, integration, fabrication, delivery, and supervision of installation of the video projection system that allowed Mr. Jackson to be the star of the show.
Technomedia took existing technology and used it in a way that has never been done before. It used interactive projection mapping to allow live performers the ability to interact with the video image. A seamless blend of members of the Cirque troupe and the video projection images creates astonishing realism, and delivers a complete blend of the virtual with the real world.
